Michael Nguyen is a former intern at the Lowy Institute and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales. He was previously part of the Lowy Institute's Pacific Aid Map Team and was also a council member for the Australian Institute of International Affairs’ NSW branch. His research interests include South East Asian security and international internet policy.
