Sarah Ireland is Save the Children Australia’s Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy Adviser, currently based in Lebanon. Originally from Brisbane, Sarah led Save the Children’s humanitarian response work in the Philippines for Typhoon Haiyan, Typhoon Bopha, Tropical Storm Washi and the Manila floods, in Iraq for the Syria refugee crisis, in Myanmar for displacement and conflict, and back in her native Queensland responding to the 2013 floods. Sarah has a Bachelor of Journalism and a Masters in International Studies (Peace and Conflict Resolution). She is also currently studying a Masters in International Law at the University of Melbourne.
