Bernadette Anvia

Bernadette Anvia is the current Director of Publications at Young Australians in International Affairs, and an editor of the Australian Institute of International Affair’s Quarterly Access journal. She is also a freelance journalist, and has written for a number of publications including the Sydney Morning Herald, Crikey and New Matilda

Bernadette holds a Bachelor of International and Global Studies (Honours). Her thesis focused on securitisation theory and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) as an extraordinary measure used to combat the existential threat posed by terrorism. She also recently graduated from a Masters of Media Practice at the University of Sydney.
