Michael Rose is an anthropologist based at the Australian National University. Before entering academia he worked as a farmer, aid worker, public servant and teacher throughout Asia and Australia. Having recently been awarded his PhD focusing on how outside ideas are made locally meaningful through indigenous frameworks in Timor-Leste's Oecussi enclave, he is also interested in the ways individuals, communities and things are transformed by global movement and connection. Michael would be happy to consider any consulting or employment opportunities that match with this background and can be contacted at michael.rose@anu.edu.au
