An address by Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Finland
On Friday 2 December, the Lowy Institute will host the Prime Minister of Finland Sanna Marin for an address titled “How a strong Europe can contribute to a more secure world”. In May 2022, Sanna Marin’s government took the historic decision for Finland to apply for NATO membership. In this address, Marin will speak about Finland’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Europe’s broader security priorities. After her address Ms Marin will speak in conversation with Executive Director Dr Michael Fullilove and take audience questions.
This is a public ticketed event. Media outlets are invited to register to attend. Due to venue capacity, registrations may be limited and pooling for broadcast and photographic coverage may be required. The Lowy Institute will provide video and audio of the event, as well as event photography.
