Join us in conversation with Hayder al-Khoei who will be speaking about Iraq after Islamic State. Hayder will discuss how Islamic State will likely meet its demise, as well as the prospects for stability in Iraq after this occurs.

Hayder al-Khoei is an Associate Fellow in the Middle East and North Africa Programme at Chatham House and a fellow at Forward Thinking. His research interests include Middle Eastern history, politics and Islamic studies, with his areas of expertise being Iraq, Iran and clerical authority in Shia Islam. He holds a Master’s degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He also recently gained a degree in Islamic Studies from The Islamic College, London. Hayder al-Khoei is a Lowy Institute Middle East Visiting Fellow, supported by the Australian Government through the Council for Australian-Arab Relations (CAAR) of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
