Lowy Lecture Series: Launch of the Lowy Institute 2013 Poll

Mon, 24 June 2013
Sydney
The Lowy Institute for International Policy will release the results of its 2013 Poll at a launch on Monday, 24 June 2013. The annual Lowy Institute Poll is the Institute’s flagship publication. Over the past nine years, the Poll has identified significant shifts in public sentiment, and has provoked vigorous debate on issues such as Australia’s relationship with the United States, investment from China, climate change, and attitudes towards democracy. The Lowy Institute Poll aims to change the perception that foreign policy is the sole preserve of elites and intellectuals, and to find out what Australians really think about key foreign policy issues. In an election year, we believe this is more important than ever. The 2013 Poll will be launched by Lowy Institute Executive Director, Dr Michael Fullilove, who will chair an interactive discussion and Q & A with panellists. Lowy Institute Research Fellow and Poll author Alex Oliver will present the results. Joining us for the panel discussion will be ABC journalist and commentator, Annabel Crabb, Dan Flitton, senior correspondent for The Age newspaper and Tony Shepherd, Chairman of Transfield Services and President of the Business Council of Australia.
