Each year the Lowy Institute holds a ‘New Voices’ conference, attracting some of the most talented young leaders in business, academia, government, the media, and the not-for-profit sector. New Voices seeks to provide a platform for early- to mid-career professionals to offer fresh insights and perspectives on important questions of international policy.

2014 New Voices examined the predicament of Australia’s proximity to Asia, and featured two substantive and interactive panel discussions (on security and inequality), and a professional development session on women in international policy. In addition, 2014 New Voices particularly showcased the contributions that young women are making in these fields.
