The G20 Brisbane Summit will be held on 15-16 November 2014. This is the most significant international meeting held in Australia.

On 29 October 2014 experts from leading think tanks and universities from G20 countries will take part in a public forum that will discuss ‘what to expect from the Brisbane Summit’. These experts will be in Australia to take part in a Think20 Seminar being hosted by the Lowy Institute. The Think20 is one of the engagement partners in the G20 process and includes some of the world’s leading analysts on international economic issues and the G20’.

The Brisbane Public Forum will be moderated by:  Mike Callaghan, Director G20 Studies Centre, Lowy Institute for International Policy.

The panel will consist of:

Barry Carin:  Senior Fellow, Centre for International Governance Innovation. (Canada)
Peter Draper: Senior Research Fellow, South African Institute of International Affairs (South Africa)
Wonhyuk Lim:  Director of Global Economy research, Korea Development Institute (Korea)
Guven Sak:  Managing Director, Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey- TEPAV (Turkey)
Ye Yu:  Research Fellow, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (China)
Matthew Goodman: Senior Advisor for Asian Economies, Center for Strategic and International Studies (USA)

The forum is an opportunity to hear and questions these experts on their views on the G20 and what they are expecting from the Brisbane Summit.
