On Thursday 11 August 2011, James Hogan, CEO of Etihad Airways, delivered the Lowy Institute for International Policy’s inaugural Australia-Gulf Lecture. He spoke on 'The shifting geopolitics of aviation'.
The aim of the Australia-Gulf lecture series is to provide a platform for political and business leaders to inject fresh thinking and provide their reflections on the rapidly expanding relationship between Australia and the Gulf region.
James Hogan was appointed CEO of Etihad Airways on 10 September 2006, bringing more than 30 years of travel industry expertise to the Abu Dhabi-based airline. CEO Magazine named him Aviation CEO of the Year in 2008 and Visionary of the Year in 2010.
