Anthony van Fossen is an adjunct senior lecturer at the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science, Griffith University. He is conducting long-term research on the international political economy of the Pacific Islands and tax havens, especially their relationships to global capitalism.  He has authored books including Tax Havens and Sovereignty in the Pacific Islands, the first book on the region’s tax havens, and South Pacific Futures: Oceania Toward 2050, the first comprehensive survey of expert views of the region’s future. He has written a number of chapters in significant books and many articles in leading academic journals. His views have been quoted extensively in Time magazine, The New York Times, The Australian Financial ReviewIslands Business, and the Courier-Mail and Sunday Mail in Brisbane.  He has appeared as an expert commentator on TVNZ and ABC Radio, Radio Australia, and Radio New Zealand. He has been an invited expert witness at Australian Senate hearings.
