Dr Chris Urwin is a Senior Curator at Museums Victoria, working on archaeological projects conducted in partnership with Indigenous communities in Australia and Papua New Guinea. His current research is about how contemporary Indigenous communities understand colonial-era collecting practices, and how people build ancestral places through time and remember their construction. His archaeological research has been funded by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) and the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE). Chris keeps an eye on world news in archaeology as a social media manager for the Australian Archaeological Association.
