Christopher R Hughes is Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics. He is author of Taiwan and Chinese Nationalism: National Identity and Status in International Society (Routledge 1997/2013) and has published widely on Chinese and Taiwanese politics and Cross-Strait Relations for the last 30 years.
