Jessica Mackenzie is the Director for Policy and Advocacy at the Australian Council for International Development. She has worked in international development for twenty years, specialising in economic and democratic governance programs. Prior to working at ACFID, she directed country programs and practice at the DC-based Institute for State Effectiveness, working with donors on how to improve the effectiveness of development programming. Prior to that, she worked at AusAID, DFAT and the Overseas Development Institute in London. She holds a BA/LLB from ANU and an MSc in International Political Economy from the LSE (UK).
