Leisha Lister

Biography

Leisha Lister is an international law and justice development advisor working in the Asia Pacific region on access to justice for women and children. She is the Senior Legal Advisor for the Australian Government funded ASEAN-Australia Counter Trafficking program (ASEAN-ACT) working with the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) to develop regional guidelines aimed at preventing and responding to transnational child and forced marriages. Leisha is also a Senior Advisor to the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ2), and a consultant working with UNICEF to improve access to justice for children in the Pacific.  Leisha spent 17 years in the Family Court of Australia where she managed the Court’s international cooperation projects and coordinated the development of policy, research and significant projects focussed on improving access to justice.
