Ooi Kok Hin is the Executive Director of The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (BERSIH), specializing in democratisation, political risk, elections and institutional reforms. He has an extensive background in think tanks and civil society, advising diverse political and civil society actors to navigate coalition building and complex issues. He is a columnist for Malaysiakini, the nation’s largest English news portal, and holds a degree in political science and philosophy from Ohio State University and a master's degree from the Graduate School of Political Science, Waseda University, where he graduated salutatorian with the best thesis award.
