Dr Orson Tan is a senior research fellow at the Institute for Indo-Pacific Affairs and holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. He specialises in identity politics, ethno-nationalism, regional security and comparative politics in the Indo-Pacific.
