Rebecca Barlow is a Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Arts and Education at the Alfred Deakin Institute in Melbourne. She has dedicated her academic and professional life to the study and promotion of women's empowerment and gender equality. She specialises in the Iranian women's movement and the politics of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Before coming to Deakin University in 2015 Rebecca was a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Research Associate at Monash University.
