Rima Flihan is a Syrian-Australian Arabic author, film, TV and freelance writer, passionate human rights activist and feminist, and a counsellor.

Rima has published several books in Arabic and many articles, and has written several Syrian TV series, long-form films and many short films. Rima fled from Syria to Jordan in September 2011 because of her active role in the peaceful movement and was a member of the delegation to the Geneva Conference on Syria for peace negotiations in 2014. In 2012-13, she was the official speaker of the Local Coordination Committee of Syria (LCC). Past positions have also included Chair of the preparatory committee for the Cairo Conference for the Syrian opposition. Rima Flihan is a member of the Syrian Writers Association. She is the founder and executive director of the Syrian Feminist Lobby.
