Dr Robbie Fordyce has investigated social use of technology for more than ten years and has 59 publications related to social and political aspects of digital systems. His research focuses on the rules and exploits of digital systems, including political economic and technical matters, as well as risks and opportunities for the public. He has explored populations including insurgents and extremists through to national rebellions and resistance moments, through to the general public. He is also a member of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society and for the Digital Child. He is the head of the Information Nations Research Group at Monash University, and is co-convener of the Digital Cultures Research Group.
