Thanks to Gary Hogan for his short history of Australia-Indonesia ups and downs (he could have added a couple more downs when we bought the F-IIIs, whose range covered the archipelago, and the bad press we got in the Pauline Hanson years). In hopes of consolidating the up-trend under SBY, DFAT proposed 2014 as the Year of Indonesia, and Jakarta responded with plans for reciprocal events in Australia. All this was to begin this month and run until April, just before the Indonesian elections. Nothing has been reported: what's going on?
