Parker Novak
Parker Novak is a Nonresident Fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Global China Hub and Indo-Pacific Security Initiative, where he specialises in Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and regional geopolitics. He previously served as the country director for a non-governmental organisation in Indonesia and Timor-Leste, living in Jakarta and Dili as their senior in-country representative.
His analysis has been featured by numerous media outlets, including ABC Australia, Al Jazeera English, Australian Financial Review, BBC World News, CNN, The Guardian, Nikkei Asia, and The Sydney Morning Herald.
He holds a master’s degree from George Washington University, a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, and resides in Washington, DC.
