Erin Bassett

Erin Bassett is a former Director of Media and Communications at the Lowy Institute.

She was responsible for promoting the Institute’s research, people and events and was the main point of contact with domestic and international media outlets. She directed the Institute’s media and social media strategy and helped to build the profiles of the Institute’s experts, as well as coordinate internal and external communications. She ran the Institute’s annual Media Award, which recognises excellence in foreign affairs journalism.

Before joining the Institute, Erin worked at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. She has degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Sydney.
